I have an old TV that does not have a Scart socket, only one antenna connection. Does it look a long way to connect to a digital box for digital television without buying a new TV? You have any suggestions gratefully
Can you convert an old TV without a scart socket to Digital?

yes just connect the aerial lead into the digibox from the tv.u dont need the scart socket
You can do it, but your digibox must have an AUX (ariel) socket too.
But in all honesty, get a local paper and find a cheap second hand telly. There will be loads for very cheap prices!!
Your Freeview box should have what’s called an RF ‘throughput’.
This will be a socket marked “RF in” (from the aerial wall socket) and one marked “RF out” (to the TV).
Two lengths of aerial lead will see you getting digital TV in no time!
Not all set top boxes will be viewable through an aerial. This info is from the Digital UK website:
“If your TV does not have a scart socket, you can purchase a digital box that connects to the RF input (aerial socket) on your television.
Thomson, Humax, Linsar and Commtel are some of the manufacturers that currently produce these. An electrical retailer will be able to advise further on your options, the key thing is to ensure that the box has an RF Modulator which means it will work without a Scart connection.”
TVonics do 2 models of set top box which don’t require a scart at all and only use the aerial socket. Have a look at them.

yes
If you can’t, write me , i’ll send you a TV. I have 6 stupid tvs.
GOD BLESS
some freeview boxes will give an rf output (not the same as a rf loop). or go for sky / cable tv. all depends what you want to watch. but remember that if you go for a free view box and want to watch some of the subscription channels, not all boxes do it. check with the retailer.and remember, what you want it to do – the dearest is not always the best
