I have been looking into digital recorders and most if not all of them have built in freeview meaning that you don’t need a separate freeview box.
Sky have one out now that allows you to record the digit movies so i should imaging that you will be able to buy a free view box that does the same.
The digital recorder will include Freeview receiver. Have two installed, very good. You can watch one channel whilst recording another if your recorder has the twin channel feature.
get sky plus or virgins medias v box
you want to get a freeview recorder, you will be able to watch freeview and record up to 2 program at 1 time. You can get them in argos.

hope this helped.
Most (if not all) Digital Recorders come with built in Freeview. Just look for the Freeview logo on the box, and if it goes as far as describing the channels and the other Freeview stuff, then you’re set.
Check out the web site below. Worth getting a twin tuner, so that you can record one channel, while watching another.
